In this article we talk about how to solve the acceleration problems of the Chery Orinoco.

Well, as everyone will know, the Orinoco does not have guaya for the accelerator, but replaced it with a position sensor of the pedal, cables and a servo that moves the acceleration butterfly. Now, as in the previous systems of acceleration per guaya, the butterfly is filled with soot due to the entry of air and the remains of combustion; causing with this, that the mechanism is locked and the effective area of air passage to the engine is varied. In each service of 15,000 km, the dealer should do the cleaning of the acceleration body (which they do not do) to avoid this type of problems and even lengthen the useful life of the servo that moves the throttle.
This maintenance is very simple and with the right tools it does not take more than 30 minutes, so I invite you to do it.
Here are the steps to follow:
1.- Pliers or small pressure pliers.
2.- Rache with 7mm dice.
3.- Clean carburetor or solvent tinner.
4.- A clean cloth that does not leave lint.
1.- Remove the decorative cover of the motor.
2.- Loosen the clamp with the pressure pliers and remove the ventilation tube from the crankcase as shown in the following figure.
It is better to do it with a pressure pliers because you do not have to do as much force to remove the hose once the pliers are closed.
3.- Loosen the clamps that are in the outlet of the air filter and to the entrance of the acceleration body as seen in the figure.
Use the 7mm die to make this operation better because they are quite tight.
4.- Remove the air intake pipe.

Make sure the clamps are quite loose.
The vent tube of the crankcase is quite annoying, you can ask for help to keep it removed while doing this step.
Once this is done you will see the throttle butterfly (See figure below).

To perform the corresponding tests you will need an assistant, since he will be in charge of stepping on the accelerator pedal while you do the inspection and / or cleaning of the butterfly.
Take the rag and spray it with enough solvent or clean carburetor until it is damp, but not dripping.
Clean the top carefully, you will notice that the cloth will turn black with soot. If it is very dirty, you will need to repeat this step several times.
Once the above procedure has finished, tell the assistant to turn the switch on (ON position) and then gradually press the accelerator pedal.

Observe the movement of the butterfly, taking care that it is not forced and / or with much sound. You can do this step as many times as you want.
To clean the butterfly, ask the assistant to fully press the accelerator pedal to open the whole butterfly and keep it there.
While the butterfly is open, insert the wet cloth with solvent or clean the carburetor and clean the edges of the butterfly and its seat. Repeat this step several times until there is no trace of soot and that the butterfly operates without traffic jams.

Do not spray solvent or clean carburetor inside the mouth of the acceleration body. This product is not designed to be burned in modern engines (I'll talk about that later).
Do not release the accelerator pedal while your hand is in your mouth, to avoid accidents. (It hurts enough finger tamper)
