How to change the internal air filter of the Chery Orinoco in very simple steps.
This product is no longer in stock
The cabin filter filters the air entering the interior of the car through the suction gap that is usually found under the windshield of the vehicle. The filter at least retains particles of dust and pollen that can enter through the ventilation system.
How to know if an indoor air filter is dirty?
The air fan in the passenger compartment does not blow much air when we put the system in outside air.
Strong odors begin to appear inside the car when the air conditioner is turned on.
The air conditioner seems to cool less than usual even when we put the system in outside air.
Why is the inner air filter used?
It's because it's a matter of both hygiene and safety. Without an air filter, the evaporator coil would be exposed to all kinds of environmental particles and would begin to accumulate dust, moisture, pollen among others that would initiate the proliferation of various molds, bacteria and other microorganisms harmful to health and that generate bad smells. Then it is easier to make a filter change than to carry out a cleaning of the air conditioning coil.
In addition, all accumulated dirt will cause frequent distractions to the driver in the form of sneezing, runny nose, watery eyes, etc.
Where is the internal air filter of the Chery Orinoco?
This is just below the windshield, on the passenger side. To access this filter is from the front. You have to remove the black plastic cover that is in the windshield wipers.
In the images below your position is illustrated.
